Church Ministries
There are many opportunities to volunteer for the church and we would love to hear from you. There is always a need for folks to volunteer for nursery, be greeters, bring food for a potluck, share their musical talents, help with the projection and sound system, and anything else you can think of that keeps a church running. Here are some ideas of ways to volunteer below but if you see something else which you think you could help with, please get in touch!

Worship and Music
Support the pastor in providing worship opportunities that will help people develop and strengthen their relationship with God. Music is a powerful form of worshipping Jesus. We encourage those with any vocal and/or instrumental talent to share their gift during church service. Volunteers run the computer during church service allowing the song lyrics, Bible scripture, videos and other information to be visible on large screens.

Administrative & Financial
This group develops and administers a coordinated plan of policies and procedures for the church; serves in leadership roles on committees and boards; and oversees the financial health of the church. Help is always welcomed in the church office with publishing the monthly newsletter, sorting, filing, updating information and so much more. Volunteers who have any computer skills, organizing skills, like working with detail, have a background in administrative or financial type work would be a great fit.

Hospitality and MemberCare
There are many ways to help this group whose mission is to show love and hospitality to members and visitors. This includes church greeters, communication through social media outlets, maintaining the snack bar & kitchen, decorating, coordinating support during times of need, prayer team involvement, encouragement with cards and calls, visitations, meal programs, and more.

Youth Programs
Children and families are always welcome at McConnelsville Methodist Church! On Sunday mornings, children can enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities during Children’s Church, or remain with their families in worship and use one of our activity-filled Worship Bags. Each summer, our Vacation Bible School brings children ages 3 through sixth grade together for faith, friendship, and fun. We invite families to grow with us—come participate, share your ideas, or help us build an even stronger ministry for children and youth!
